How's xoom?

Well I have been looking for an alternative to paypal for sometime ... and came to know about xoom.... but still don't have a clear idea abt how it works ... I need it just to receive money not send ... so anyone who has worked with xoom let me know how are they .. reliable, good ... do i need a credit card to receive funds with xoom... any limitation etc .. pls share

I have used xoom to trnasfer ffunds to my bank account, it works great. BTW Xoom does not accept paypal payments from india
