Domain Name SEO

Can someone who is an expert in domain name SEO guide me on this? I would like to know whether

if I were to buy a domain filled keyword, eg.

hostingreview.com

and if the plural of the domain

hostingreviews.com

has been taken by another person, what if I were to do SEO for hostingreview.com, will the traffic be distributed to hostingreviews.com too?

Your SEO efforts will be benifiting you alone. you will not be helping the other site to get traffic. Google is very specific to domains, so anything you do to your site will benefit only your site. .

If at all there is a typo error, then the other website can get traffic, other wise from seo point of view there is no chance

i thinks used domain seo is very effective to increase traffic and PR website ...
better you must do SEO (on page and off page) to support that ..

The best is to select your main keyword/s which is different from their keyword/s...then optimize it. Mostly in searches...people will not directly looking or typing for the site names instead they will use a certain keyword/s or phrases as well.

If you are optimizing your site in a good an effective way only your site will be benefitted by search engines. However, due to heavy keyword competition, it might be possible that other sites doing SEO for the same keywords. So, you will have to analyze other sites first and then take your final decision.

very good question u asked.. and yes.. it may be affect traffic to sites.. because google is very accurate aand the do not allow the mirror sites....
