What is the way to determine that text is unique

I working with the few freelancers on article writing. Is there any possibility to automatically check if the texts they send me are unique? or do i have to google it?

You can copy and paste into copyscape if you become a pemium member. Also you could put your article up on your host as a text file and use the URL check in copyscape to check the content. Just Remember to put the name of the text file on the end of the URL.
